Compare earned distribution with bought placement.
Paid media buys placements, priced per thousand impressions; delivery starts when spend starts. Organic distribution buys a run-for-you system that earns its place and leaves routes and audience behind. Spektra neither buys nor runs media. Choose paid when you need guaranteed delivery by a date, fast message tests, or proven direct-response economics; choose organic for compounding reach.
01 / Side by side
Paid media. Organic distribution.
| Dimension | Paid media | Organic distribution |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | Placements, priced per thousand impressions. | A system that earns its place in feeds. |
| Who runs it | A media buyer or ad agency. Never Spektra. | Spektra operates the routes. |
| Speed | Delivery starts when the budget starts. | The first cycle reports back over weeks. |
| When spend stops | Delivery stops with it. | Routes and audience remain. |
| How it reaches people | Bought against defined segments. | Earned from what an audience stops for. |
| Cost shape | Recurring, and rises with reach. | Engagement fee, largely uncoupled from reach. |
| What it does not do | Does not leave an owned audience. | Does not deliver to a guaranteed date. |

02 / When not Spektra
Not every case needs Spektra. When the other option wins.
- You need reach on a fixed date, with delivery guaranteed.
- The offer is direct response and the unit economics already work.
- You are testing a message quickly before committing to it.
- The audience is narrow, and buying access beats earning it.
03 / The reasoning
Behind the table. The full argument.
Spektra neither buys nor runs media. Nothing on this page is an advertising service, and Spektra would not manage an ad budget. What follows is a comparison between two different purchases, written so the right one gets made.
Paid media rents attention. That is not a criticism. Renting is the correct move in plenty of situations. It also does something an operated system cannot. It delivers on a date, at a volume agreed in advance.
Organic distribution builds a route instead of renting one. The trade is speed for permanence.
Read the cost shapes
The two bills behave differently, and this is the part worth understanding before either is signed.
Paid cost rises with reach. Doubling delivery roughly doubles the invoice, and the relationship holds as long as the campaign runs. Stop paying and delivery stops the same week.
An engagement fee is largely uncoupled from reach. The system costs what it costs to build and operate. What it delivers is a band rather than a purchase. The Distribution Blueprint sets a reach delivery range for each client, never a guarantee.
What each one leaves behind
A campaign ends with a report. An operated cycle ends with a report and an owned audience that the next thing starts from.
Neither fact makes one larger than the other. Paid media reaches enormous numbers of people, reliably. It does so faster than any organic system. The difference is what remains once the spend stops.
When paid media is right
Buy the media when media is right. If you need a specific audience by a specific date, buy it. If the direct-response maths already works, keep buying, because a working acquisition channel is not a problem to solve. If you are still testing which message lands, paid finds out in days rather than cycles.
The two are complements more often than alternatives. The mistake worth avoiding is buying one while believing it does the other's job.

Questions specific to this comparison.
No. Spektra does not offer advertising, media buying, PPC, retargeting or ad-account management, and would not manage an ad budget. Paid rates are cited only as a reference price.
